Case Study: Accelerating Diversity in Engineering – The 50K Coalition
The 50K Coalition, spearheaded by the nation’s premier diversity engineering organizations: American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), National Society of Black Engineers ( NSBE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and Society of Women Engineers (SWE). It expanded to include over 60 institutions and organizations, encompassing additional engineering societies, colleges, universities, nonprofits, corporations, and government agencies. Together, they addressed the severe underrepresentation of Black, Brown, and Women engineering graduates in the U.S.
