Viva Technology Returns to Chicago!

Our Los Angeles based client, Great Minds in STEM™, will be conducting its nationally recognized program “Viva Technology” on March 4^th and 5^th at the Benito Juarez Community Academy and on March 25^th and 26^th at the Annie Keller Regional Gifted Center. Both programs are proudly sponsored by the Motorola Foundation.

Viva Technology is designed to engage inner-city and rural K-12 students, teachers and parents in the applications of technology in order to stimulate interest and academic achievement in math, science and engineering, thereby laying the foundation for students to select and succeed in college and university degree programs leading to careers in science, engineering and technology.

Since its inception in 2001, the Viva Technology Program has grown to have a national presence, conducting programs in 13 states and touching the lives of over 50,000 students, parents and teachers in the promotion of Science Technology Engineering and Math Careers and Education.

Congratulations to Jesus “Chuy” Garcia on his victorious Democratic primary win for Cook County Commissioner for the 7^th District.

Jesus “Chuy” Garcia is a dynamic and progressive leader who has fought selflessly to improve the lives of his neighbors on the southwest side of Chicago and the neighboring Cicero and Berwyn communities. First elected to the Chicago City Council in 1986 as a reformer and supporter of Mayor Harold Washington, Jesus Garcia helped give Mayor Washington a majority in the City Council to enact progressive legislation. He was among Mayor Washington’s most trusted allies.

In 1992, Jesus Garcia was elected and served two terms as State Senator. As the first-ever Mexican-American elected to the State Senate, Chuy pushed forward a broad range of legislation to benefit the working families of his district.

As the former Executive Director of Enlace Chicago, Najera Consulting Group was pleased to have worked with Chuy and his former organization, and we wish him all the luck in the future.

Teatro Vista Wows the Critics

Congratulations to our client, Teatro Vista…Theatre With a View, for implementing our strategic planning process with newfound success and delivering the results to the stage. Their new show “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” which debuted in September 2009 at Victory Gardens Theatre, knocked the critics off their feet. This theatre group is Broadway bound! Just read what the Chicago Tribune had to say:
